At IIDRC, we discussed issues of Arbitration in relation to MSMEs

Our team participated in an event by IIDRC to discuss issues of Arbitration in relation to MSMEs.

It was truly enlightening to listen to Hon'ble Mr. Justice Nazmi Waziri and Md. Mahmood Hassan.

Our Partner, Mr. Jyoti Kumar Chaudhary spoke in a panel discussion alongside Mr. M.A. Johar, Md.Tariq Khan, Mr. Divyam Agarwal, Ms. Pragya Parijat Singh and Md. Zafar Khurshid.

He highlighted the necessity of having a separate framework to deal with execution of arbitral awards. Having taken out adjudicatory process from Civil court and put it in the framework of Arbitration, it is necessary to have a framework aligned with UNCITRAL Model law to execute the arbitral awards, instead of treating it as decree under CPC.
