Billing Practice

The basis of charging is based on several elements as follows:

Legal/Tax Advisory & Support:

a time-rated basis; and/or
base-retainership coupled with an element of additional fees for any additional work on the above-basis;

LPO Services:

time rated fee for research and conferences; and/or
as agreed on case-to-case basis
drafting fees on the basis of major and minor pleadings; and
appearance fee on a per appearance basis

For all out-station visits of associates & partners, the Firm charges additionally on the basis of 8 hours per day for full day out-station and 4 hours per day for ½ day outstation. All external/local counsel in outside locations and any consultant fees are payable directly by the clients. All disbursements/out-of-pocket expenses are charged extra on actuals or on near approximates where actuals are unavailable.

The Firm does not expect to charge clients for learning cost in any field, where the necessary skill lies within the ordinary range of our work. Where the firm works with clients on projects in novel areas, it can agree on a basis of sharing such costs. All in all, the basis of charge is designed to ensure that the fees represent value and maintain the principles of good practice.
